The World Bank has allocated $454 million to Ukraine. The money will be used for the development of the health care sector.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal via Telegram on Tuesday, December 10.

The World Bank has provided financial support

According to Shmyhal, the $454 million loan to Ukraine supports the government's efforts to prioritize funding under the Medical Guarantee Program.

"The money will be provided under the THRIVE project, which aims to help reform the healthcare system and strengthen its effectiveness in times of war," the statement said.

The Prime Minister added that the program is funded by the Government of Japan, the World Bank, and a grant from the URTF.

"THRIVE is part of a large-scale international support for Ukraine, which also covers education, transport, energy, the agricultural sector and other sectors affected by Russian aggression," the Prime Minister explained.
