President’s salary — how much Zelenskyy earned in 2024

The salary of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in 2024 was UAH 28,000 (USD 660,36 — Ed.) per month. At the same time, the Head of our state did not receive any allowances, bonuses, or other salary components.
This was reported by Channel 24 after receiving the response to the request from the State Administration of Affairs.
How much the President earns
The State Administration of Affairs replied that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy is paid a salary of UAH 28,000 (USD 660.36 — Ed.) per month.
It is noted that there are no other components of the President’s salary (allowances, bonuses, etc.).
The total salary of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in 2024 was UAH 336,000 (USD 7,924.36 — Ed.), of which taxes and fees in the amount of UAH 66,500 (USD 1,568.36 — Ed.) were paid.
In addition, there is information about the earnings of the Head of the Presidential Office, Andrii Yermak. In total, Yermak earned UAH 582,255.50 (USD 13,732.13 — Ed.) last year as the Head of the Presidential Office. During this time, he paid taxes for UAH 115,525.65 (USD 2,724.61 — Ed.). It is noted that Yermak’s official salary is UAH 121,270.63 (USD 2,860.10 — Ed.).
It is also worth noting that Oleh Tatarov was paid a total salary of UAH 497,610.90 (USD 11,735.85 — Ed.), including a salary of UAH 173,069.87 (USD 4,081.75 — Ed.). Out of this amount, the official paid taxes and fees following the current legislation for UAH 98,742.98 (USD 2,328.79 — Ed.).
Salaries of Heads of State — top five leaders
Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong receives the highest salary among world leaders — more than USD 1.5 million a year.
This amount is almost twice the salary of Swiss President Viola Amgerd, who receives USD 570,000 a year.
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is in third place with an annual salary of more than USD 413,000.
U.S. President Joe Biden ranks fourth with an annual salary of USD 400,000.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz rounds out the top five, earning almost USD 294,000 a year.
Earlier we wrote that salaries are growing rapidly in Ukraine. Real wages in the third quarter of 2024 exceeded the pre-war level by 7.2%.
As a reminder, Ukraine is scheduled to launch a pension reform in 2025. The changes are expected to start in July.
